Demi Moore was an addict and a mess. Ally Sheedy was smart but naive. The person with the most common sense is probably Judith, Dale Bieberman's roommate.

I love The Breakfast Club. Yes there are things in that movie that don't hold up well either. But I think it was a groundbreaking and important movie, in general and for me personally.

He actually stalked McDowell's character like an insane person then threatened to hurt her roommate if she didn't tell him where in the mountains she was. The movie very much wants us to support Emilio's "passion," so I get why you thought that. But watching it now he seems like a psycho.

Rewatched ST. ELMO'S FIRE tonight and I knew all the guys in it are kind of assholes, but OMG they are SUCH assholes.
