Taylor, happy to talk about our approach. This was an incredibly exhaustive project for a newsroom of our size. The reality is ACC does not have the budget to put 10 people on a story series. We don't have a research arm. So we talk to experts and use technology to help us sift through data.

Atlanta Inspector General Shannon Manigault resigns amid attacks on her office In addition to Manigualt, five OIG governing board members have resigned since December.

Manigault has come under fire for how her office issued third-party subpoenas to banks for financial records pertaining to investigations. The city's attorney issued a cease and desist order that accused the OIG of violating state law by not notifying account-holders in advance of the subpoenas.
