Yeah, I've seen similar sentiments from *a lot* of furries online, but I assume that it's much less of an issue in more tight-knit spaces/communities. This is just an assumption though, I wouldn't really consider myself an active part in any of those spaces (although I do want to change that).

idea is that the town's effects are insipid, both supernaturally and also the regular social causes. This has been an unrelated tangent, but I guess I'm just realising now how big of a part the feeling that echo is thoroughly fucked contributes to the horror/misery of the story

I've always wondered how much of certain echo characters' immoral behaviour can be attributed to the town's "curse" especially with more nuanced characters like Leo. Then again, trying to create a hypothetical "what if the town wasn't like that" kind of defeats the point in a way as the whole (1/2)

I know you've probably heard this all before, and that this doesn't change the harassment you've been dealing with, but I think you and your videos are very important, and no matter how many of these people appear, you'll always have a community that supports you.

Doing this with media you're familiar with is especially beneficial (because you already know roughly what is going on, so that extra context helps you understand more), so that sounds like a good idea

This shouldn't be your main tool for language learning, but once you have somewhat of a grip on your target language I highly suggest engaging with media in that language (podcasts, movies (even with subs on), youtubers, etc). This helps with immersion and understanding how the average person speaks
