Fortunately here in Maryland state law explicitly bans discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Not all states are this fortunate. (3/3)

Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity is not specifically barred in the constitution or its amendments. Agencies have been interpreting the ban on discrimination on the basis of "sex" as including sexual orientation and gender identity. (2/3)
