Remembering Nicholas Ransbottom | RPGFan Over the weekend, we learned some sad news: Nicholas Ransbottom, a contributor to RPGFan, Nintendo Life, IGN, and more, passed away after a long battle with

@rpgfan.bsky.social shared a touching tribute to Nick this morning. He had nothing but fond memories of his time there. They were some of the first to allow him to explore different angles to gaming, and share his thoughts and vulnerabilities to the world.

So every breakfast restaurant ever has them as a side, and they are NEVER ripe. But we don't know that, because it's the same experience every time!

Then one day you encounter a ripe slice or cube by accident and it is transformstive.

Friends, it has taken me several days to muster the strenght to write this post, and by now you have no doubt heard that our wonderful, beautiful, talented Nick has passed in his sleep this Saturday night. Brave, witty and incredibly funny do not even begin to describe the person he was.

Today makes a year since Nick's transplant and our chance to keep writing this story.

Living and working from the hospital for more than a year certainly hasn't been easy, but I'm very greatful to even have this opportunity. Also very proud of the incredible fight he's put up.

We're nearly there ☺️

Remember when Jean Chretien tried to move the UN Headquarters to Canada and even offered to pay for it? I think we should try another go at it now πŸ€”

Donate to Help Javy and Audrey fight Scout’s Cancer, organized by Javy Gwaltney As hard as it is to ask for help, we realize we can’t fight this alone. … Javy Gwaltney needs your support for Help Javy and Audrey fight Scout’s Cancer

I know firsthand that times are tough currently, but if you found a few dollars in an old coat, you might want to send it to this great family and their pup who has cancer. They've helped us when we needed it the most, and could use some now πŸ₯°

List of products from the United States subject to 25 per cent tariffs effective February 4, 2025 - Canada.ca Effective February 4, 2025, the government is imposing 25 per cent tariffs on $30 billion in goods imported from the United States (U.S.).

Now that the list of tariffs is out, and a lot of products are common household ones, this is not the time to complain about the prices, but to find alternatives. Buy πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ first, then any friendly nations!

Good. C'est le genre de tariffs qui nous amènera à trouver par nécessité des solutions de rechange. Et ce genre d'habitudes, si elles se maintiennent dans le temps, seront dures à changer dans l'avenir.

Canada will do it again

Canada will do it again

All of Canada, except for the traitors, are united against the US oligarch corporatists, MAGA, and Trump. It's hard to describe but it is the most united we've seen Canada in a long time.

Trump said tariff war, Canada heard... war. #cdnpoli

β€˜We have fought and died alongside you during your darkest hours’: Trudeau reacts to U.S. tariffs After Donald Trump slapped strict tariffs on Canadian imports, PM Justin Trudeau warned the U.S. that the better path is to partner with Canada, β€œnot punish it.”

Canada is ready. We will fight.
I thank the Prime Minister for his powerful statement in response to the thuggish attacks by Trump.
We are unified as a nation. Our American cousins are divided.
We will kick at the darkness until it bleeds daylight.

All police and public service agencies need to turn to Japan or Korea for their fleets and electronics. Any weapons and equipment purchase by our military needs to be done from European or Japanese partners.

Businesses and institutions are the big spenders. You need to lead by example #Teamcanada

To add to that although it's no shocker at this point, I'm surprised about Mark Carney. He didn't strike me as someone willing to wait 4 to 8 years in the opposition but surely he must know what the odds are right now. Is he really here for the long run?

The last anglophone leader of the Liberal Party to successfully win an election was Lester B Pearson and this tidbit reminds us that while Conservatives can win a majority without Quebec, the NDP and the Libs likely never will. Things to ponder as the leadership race begins.
