OpenAI has just signed a $200M Pentagon contract to develop AI tools for the US military. That’s a decent twist for a lab founded as a non-profit to build AI “for the benefit of humanity”.

Big Tech’s 2025 mantra is “buy GPUs or die”, except Netflix. Amazon, Microsoft and friends will burn >$200B on AI capex, while Netflix continues to prioritize content production over hardware investments. Maybe Veo 3 will change this, but for now Netflix is the only one that didn’t join the AI race.
