No Other Land depicts the horrifying violence Palestinians in the West Bank endure under apartheid.

Yesterday, its co-director Hamdan Ballal was beaten in his home by settlers before being detained by Israeli forces.

People applauded Hamdan. Now they are silent. Free Hamdan.

Unethical and unforgiveable.

And the Labour Welsh Government shamefully refuse both to condemn Starmer’s continuing targeting of the most vulnerable, and to demand the powers we need over welfare to help shield Welsh people from these harmful cuts.

Labour’s £5 billion cut to the welfare system will only add strain to already overstretched Welsh public services.

Once again, this UK Labour Government is choosing short-term austerity over long-term solutions to the deep issues that affect us all.

Instead of slashing welfare and disability benefits — forcing more disabled people and children into poverty — the government could introduce a 2% tax on assets over £10 million.

It would raise £24 billion — five times the savings from these cuts.

This is austerity 2.0

In under 24 hours, Israel has massacred over 400 people in Gaza — including 174 children.

Israel has announced a total blockade on food and essential supplies to Gaza, starving 2 million of basic necessities.

This is a continuation of genocide.

Until the government enforces a full two-way arms embargo and severs economic & diplomatic ties, it is directly complicit.

Israel has chosen to mark the first days of Ramadan by blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Still, our government refuses to implement sanctions and defend international law.

There is no other way of putting it: this is a resumption of genocide — and our government is complicit.
