I have always loved public libraries, but having young children has exponentially increased my gratitude and sense of indebtedness to them. Our local library is such a huge part of our lives. The books, the programming, the very intentionally curated kids’ section. It’s all such a gift.

Got offered a college history course (US history up to Reconstruction) to teach next fall! Glad to get them when I can, especially w/ how few there are to go around these days.

I know what you mean, comrade. It really feels sometimes like the bad guys have won. I think the fight is never over, but at the same time, in the short/medium term it's hard to imagine a positive shift in the current landscape. All we can do is be there for each other.
