Big fan of a set it and forget it crockpot meal. Roasts, chili, stew have helped through this extra cold winter. Stick all the ingredients in, season, let it cook on low all day unattended, then enjoy a hearty and hot meal.

When meal planning and making a shopping list, I veer towards Mexican foods for Tuesday, fish on Fridays, homemade pizza Saturday, Sicilian foods Sunday. But Friday and Sunday are the only ones I stick to more often than not.

I know it Super Bowl weekend, but hopefully edibles are acceptable.

The most popular event by far at the Winter Olympics this year has been the Booing of the Couch Fucker but Keenan and Kevin didn't even cover it.

Frankly, between the dangerous no helmet rule and the difficulty of keeping up with untelevised regular season games, we will probably skip the Puppy Bowl this year.
