This #PSG prediction came early...
31.05.2025 21:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0#LFC were allowed to make 6 subtitutions during #LIVSOU due to a new concussion rule. That explains why TAA is even considering leaving for #RealMadrid.
08.03.2025 17:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Michael Oliver didn't think this was a red card without VAR intervention. There are too many errors of judgement from him this season. Apart from being dropped, do referees get any training?
07.03.2025 16:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Visited the new London City Hall in Canning Town today. Nice building. Nice prayer room - pleasantly surprised how accessible it is (in the main foyer) with a proper ablution sink.
06.03.2025 22:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Exclusive: money for Club World Cup broadly set
$1bn in prize money, with $525m on participation (not evenly split) and $475m on performance
City/Chelsea could get $60-90m in game-changing figures
Solidarity to non-participating clubs to be at least $150m

Can only judge him on what he's done in two windows, and it's not very good or much so far. Got the Slot decision right, so fair play.
And going back to his old club or his old league means nothing to me. Just want the right players for LFC.
Cos it was at another club, I wouldn't call it "credit in the bank", lol
As I said, it's not a good "start"
It can't take him 3/4 of a season to get fit, as was the excuse earlier in the season, surely...
06.03.2025 04:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Arne Slot must really not fancy Chiesa if Salah & Diaz deliver a stinker like tonight, and he chooses Elliott & Jones over him.
Richard Hughes took a risk and hasn't paid off. It's not a good start for him on the transfer front as #LFC Sporting Director.
That #PSG midfield, technically superb. Retained, recycled, and dominated the ball so well vs #LFC. ππ½

Best in the world!

The way Nunez is playing, his availability is a bit of a hindrance π«£
01.03.2025 15:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The sad thing is, there aren't that many elite options available at the moment. Ekitike is a risk. Sesko & Delap are still raw. I'm not sure Cunha or Openda score 30+ a season.
01.03.2025 15:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Alexander Isak's injury record
Alexander Isak is a great striker. But don't fancy #LFC spending Β£100m+ on a striker who misses 8-18 matches per season due to injury. No matter how good he is, I'm scarred from high-quality players like Jota, Sturridge & Kewell being injured and negatively impacting our seasons.

I didn't realise that to access the 2yr warranty on the appliance, I needed to register it within 30 days of delivery. Called them, and they still honoured the warranty. Nice chap, too.
Trump's base is largely Christians. PoC also support him despite his racism & Islamophobia. Both groups share similar values. Neither group opposed gender, ethnic or disability diversity.
Raises the Qs:
1. What/who is DEI for in 2025?
2. Is this an attack on DEI as whole or one group within DEI π?
Reading through the list of initiatives #LFC are celebrating, 3/6 are about LGBT+ related. That's largely been the dominant trend within DEI as momentum following George Floyd's murder dissipates.
In the UK, Kick It Out's mission has changed to incl. LGBT+ issues.
Since Trump came to power and attacked DEI, many companies have scaled back their commitments - especially those with ties to the US. Others have doubled down.
#LFC one of those that have doubled-down with this post today www.liverpoolfc.com/news/red-tog...
It is interesting how ways of working are evolving post-COVID-19.

24.02.2025 07:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good shout. Alisson brought him into the players' leadership group earlier this season.

24.02.2025 00:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Since he's had a kid, seems more mature. Also Klopp playing him deeper has helped round out his game. He retains the ball v well, which will help when you need your captain to lead you through difficult games & manage tempo.
24.02.2025 00:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In the past year, it looked like he was putting on some lean muscle. Club were very cautious with his health & fitness. Slot said it was the reason he was loaned out, needed fitness after 15 months out.
24.02.2025 00:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Don't think he has developed the required "presence" in the team yet. Or in any of the players "leadership" groups.
Will be interesting who steps up with many of the "old guard" expected to leave this summer. Jones as the remaining scouser? Lol
I wouldn't mind Matheus Cunha taking Diogo Jota's place in the #LFC squad this summer.
Jota's fitness is unreliable. Don't think Slot trusts him to play the LW role, which MC can do, as well as the F9. This also allows the club to take a risk with a no.9 from abroad.
With TAA most likely leaving #LFC, who's the next vice captain?
Alisson replacement already bought. Robertson contract running down & not suited to Slot-ball.
Salah? Konate?
Must be maddening supporting a team that plays Jeremy Doku. Electric dribbler, but no end product. Doubt he ever develops it. Surprised Pep Guardiola & #MCFC signed him.
23.02.2025 23:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Two aspects I like re Arne Slot's #LFC management:
1. Pragmatism. During #MCILIV, deployed a 424 2x false 9s. Happy to concede possession but never looked threatened. Stark contrast to Amorim who's v dogmatic.
2. Subs on fresh legs. Under Klopp, Tsimikas hardly came on when Robertson was tired.
Stefan Bajcetic has really grown. Looks as tall as Gravenberch now. Remember him being sidelined for "growing pains" as a teenager. Should help him adapt to the physicality of the PL.
