But also actual #UnconfinedWalks around the coast and castles. Plus between times it seemed a good time to re-read @lynnbryant.bsky.social’s Manxman series

Extremely behind on #UnconfinedWalks. A few days in Liverpool, extended due to technical issues with the ferry due to take us to the Isle of Man, which led to a coach to Heysham and a 2am to 6am sailing last Tuesday

Colleague once ended up with broken collarbone after hanging the bag with box containing new cycle helmet over handlebars which then caught in wheel!

Great article about what we do, and what we should do, with research records.

Although having people see my multiple, unread, files is a something I could do without.

Used to cycle over this quite frequently when I was a student, but that was almost 30 years ago so traffic probably much worse now, and even then I would sometimes use the doorway if it was particularly busy

#UnconfinedWalks a night off Promming and back to Moloko laps. Sky rather threatening and a few raindrops as I made my way to the meet point but fortunately never developed into anything more

The Bank of England’s quiet β€˜Big Bang’ | Computer Weekly The Bank of England has completed its generational project to replace part of the UK’s critical infrastructure, which went unnoticed beyond the sector it underpins.

The Bank of England refreshed the tech that runs UK economy and one indication of success is the fact that we didn't really notice www.computerweekly.com/news/3666279...

I missed Brendel’s encore at his farewell prom as I’d started to feel wobbly during the concerto (unsurprisingly the arena was packed that night). More often I’m in danger of falling asleep on my feet though

#UnconfinedWalks Before yesterday’s jazz and now hanging out in Beit Quad. Seems a little early for the banners (and in my day it was still Freshers’ Week). How is it that that day will be 30 years ago come October!

When I had to do it for my dad (well technically mum was the informant but I went with her) they had a branch office in the hospital (a 20 minute walk away) and was lined up for only a couple of working days after the death so far as I can remember which definitely made things more straightforward

Great thread. I looked at the numbers for this division for my PhD many years ago, and concluded turnout for it was actually *above* average for this session. Lots of MPs just not voting on lots of things!
