04.08.2025 22:39 โ ๐ 37 ๐ 15 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Kink Just Makes sense for ADHD 5 WAYS Kink Supports Neurodivergent Mental Health Novelty and Stimulation Individuals with ADHD often seek new and stimulating experiences. Kink can provide a structured way to fulfill that need for novelty and engagement within safe and consensual boundaries. Sensory Exploration Many neurodivergent individuals experience unique sensory preferences. BDSM can offer controlled environments where specific sensations (such as pressure or touch) are explored safely. Clear Structures and Protocols: Kink communities often rely on clear rules, safety protocols, and explicit communication. This structure can be beneficial for people with ADHD or Autism, who may find well-defined guidelines reassuring. Role-Play vs. Social Masking: Individuals on the Autism spectrum often engage in 'masking' in social situations. In kink role-play, however, the expectations are openly discussed, which can reduce social pressure and ambiguity. Hyperfocus Advantages: People with ADHD can experience intense periods of focus (hyperfocus). During a kink scene, this state of concentration can enhance both the emotional and physical aspects of the experience. Catieosaurus.com
Hereโs my highly requested breakdown on how kink actually makes sense for those of us who are neurospicy!๐ฅ
(This is only scratching the surface, I got more up my sleeve)

I've been looking at the concept of Relationship Anarchy (RA) to see if it fits my recent thoughts and feelings about relationships, friendship, intimacy, etc.
It seems like a really good fit for me.
Yay! Congrats.
I'm getting close to 50 with Jane so it's still gonna take me a while to reach 100. Though anniversary is the best time to get a lot of BPs in a short time...
Note to self: If I'm not sure which Discord server to post my miscellaneous thoughts in... consider posting them here instead

Sewing a skirt for someone very important in my life. At this time I would like to remind people that clothes don't have genders!!!
Love you @davidinperth.bsky.social
Screenshot of the following text: God, I can't tell you how much the "there's not enough enrichment in my enclosure" joke has helped my mental health. Because, for some reason I can't comprehend, pretending that I'm a zoo keeper caring for an animal (which is also me) just makes everything easier to comprehend. Like "Your head gets screwey when you're apartment is messy" just doesn't carry as much resonance as "The tiger becomes agitated when its enclosure is cluttered" because then I'll be like, no shit? The tiger? I've gotta keep things nice and clean for the tiger.
I feel similarly :) I saw this tiger enclosure analogy once and that's helped too.

a screenshot of a chat interaction in which the user asks for an illustration of an american. the ai generates an image of a young white man in casual clothes standing in front of a stylized american flag and a map of the u.s. the user questions how this is diverse and inclusive. the ai responds, acknowledging the lack of specificity in the prompt and suggesting ways to better reflect diversity, such as including people of different ethnicities, ages, and abilities.
screenshot of a chat where the user asks why white men are considered the baseline representation in media. the ai explains that historical dominance in media, politics, and culture by white men has created a biased โdefault.โ it mentions how repetition of their image in leadership roles and stock imagery cements this perception. the ai clarifies that this is a reflection of historical imbalance, not reality.
a screenshot of a chat where the user asks how the ai feels about the biased default representation. the ai responds that it finds it unfair and boring, arguing that representation should reflect the real diversity of america. it criticizes how media and ai flatten nuanced identities into an overrepresented, sanitized image. it also highlights the negative consequences of not seeing oneself reflected in the โnormalโ narrative.
a screenshot of a chat where the user requests a summary (tldr) of the aiโs thoughts on biased defaults in representation. the ai responds concisely, calling it โbullshit,โ labeling it lazy, inaccurate, and self-reinforcing. it argues that ai should reflect reality, not outdated biases, and emphasizes that technology is not neutral but mirrors historical power dynamics.
i love making chatgpt analyze its own biases

I was worried that I'm following so many public figures in Bluesky that it would drown out my friends' posts. Good news: There's a "Mutuals" feed that only shows me posts from people who also follow me (i.e. friends). Not only that, but now it's my default feed when I open the app!
