for highlighting the new recommendations for vaccination that are backed by science and pediatricians. It is an absolute failure that the same is not true for the recommendations of the ACIP.

‘One of the darkest days’: NIH purges agency leadership amid mass layoffs In shock move, four institute directors at the US biomedical agency are removed from their posts.

This will be a landmark day in the history of US science in a terrible way. Our administration fired 4 institute directors including NIAID without any cause. Being a scientist in America is quickly becoming impossible.

Happy to see labs from the sane parts of the world open their arms to US PhD candidates who have been harmed by our government policies!

And the NIH anti-vaccination epoch officially begins. . . Terribly worried that vaccine development will be next.

PubMed is back up now. Fingers crossed that this was just a quick hiccup and not a targeted problem.

An agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the NIH is the Federal focal point for health and medical research. The NIH website offers health information for the public, scientists, researchers, medical professionals, patients, educators, and students. The Site has extensive information on funding and training opportunities, clinical trials, health news and links to the many Institutes and Centers that make-up the NIH.

So now all NIH.gov websites are down including PubMed where the public can access the results of scientific research. This coupled with the firing of all internal researchers at NIH is one more chapter in the end
of US science.

Cancelling this meeting is so concerning. This meeting determines what goes into the flu vaccine every year. No flu vaccine 2025-2026 is a possible outcome of cancelling this meeting. The flu shot isn’t perfect but it saves lives every year.

Nice to finally see a publication backing up what I have been stalking the NIH website to find. NIH is still effectively blocked from issuing new grants.

This program is a gem and the governor should be ashamed of himself. Removing this program will actively harm the next generation of children. As a pediatrician I’ve seen the joy on these kids faces when they receive a book from this program. Why would you target this program?!
