Tsunami Watch for the US West Coast, looks like the estimate is it might arrive where I'm at around midnight. Hopefully the wave will be spread out enough that it doesn't amount to much by the time it arrives, sounds like the earthquake was 80 miles off the East Coast of Russia.

Yeah I'm nearing 200 hours myself and still enjoying it.

Just saw someone online refer to the new Fantastic Four film (set in the 1960s) as set "back during the 1900's" and realized younger people might also refer to the 90's as "back in the 1900's" the way I refer to the 1800's.

Kind of a bandaid pull moment, but if Google wants fewer Chrome users, I guess that's one way to do it.

Chrome finally did the stupid thing I knew they were planning on doing and fully disabled ublock without my consent. Spent half an hour or so this morning moving everything over to firefox and going through all my favorite sites to make sure I'm logged in properly. Went very smoothly 😀

My friends and I call them friendslop, but like, in an endearing way. I love a fun little $5-10 game i can play for 10-20 hours with my friends and laugh our asses off. There are a lot of these games that have come out in the last couple years but few that do it just right and feel amazing.

Well, mandating that games have an end of life plan for their servers to hand over control to the community sort of changes the initial design phase dramatically for some titles, so it does sorta change the way some games would be made.

And on the topic of state mandated game features, make games create multiple autosave files instead of overwriting the same file every time so I can easily rollback my progress.

Or starting up their own studio/publisher founded with a promise/terms of service to provide end of life service to every game they make. Would probably be a great way to market a new startup.

Honestly I feel like the energy behind this campaign would be much better spent convincing folks not to spend money on games from publishers notorious for shutting down live service games, rather than mandating what games get made.
