TRUMP IS WRONG: The U.S. has held elections during all periods of strife; World Wars I & II. Elections were held even during the War of 1812 & the American Civil War. The Constitution sets fixed dates for federal elections. There is NO provision allowing a president to postpone or cancel elections.
