Trump is calling for the six Democratic lawmakers who urged the military not to follow any illegal orders to be arrested, and he’s reposting replies saying they should be hanged and calling them terrorists.

Cutting 40,000 jobs would be more than just "regrettable": it's bad policy that will hurt workers, their families, and everyone who relies on public services. The budget has passed, it’s packed with austerity measures that hit people hard. We will fight back.

There’s nothing compassionate about cuts that cost workers their paycheques and that leave families without the services they count on. PM Carney’s austerity agenda lands squarely on workers’ backs.

64% of people in PSAC’s survey say federal public services are already strained and backlogged. Cutting more workers means longer wait times and fewer supports when people need them most.

Trump's Heart of Darkness Warning: This story involves allegations of child rape and abuse

This past week there was a photo from Trump's gala of a barely clad woman frolicking in a giant champagne glass.
She looked like a teen.
It made me think of Jane Doe-another young woman who attempted to shine a light on the darkness in Trumpland.
My latest.

PSAC warns 70,000 jobs at risk The union warns 70,000 public service jobs are at risk if the federal government trims jobs to pre-pandemic levels. CTV’s Natalie van Rooy reports.

Carney’s gov't is gearing up to cut deep and everyone in Canada should worry. We could see public service cuts rivaling the Harper & ChrΓ©tien years: longer wait times, fewer programs, and services gone when people need them most. www.ctvnews.ca/ottawa/video...

With Carney’s upcoming budget, we could see 52 of 88 vital departments and agencies disappear, according to @policyalternatives.ca’s analysis. This would mean:

πŸ”΄Fewer workers and slower services
πŸ”΄Weaker protections
πŸ”΄Longer waits for the help families need

PSAC warns federal budget could lead to 70,000 job cuts in the public service The Public Service Alliance of Canada is warning of the possibility of deep job cuts in the federal public service ahead of Liberals’ first budget under Prime Minister Mark Carney.

As the only leadership candidate with a seat, CBC asked me this week where I stand on the budget.

Mark Carney knows where I stand.

If he wants NDP support, he can’t keep the cuts he’s threatening to jobs and the services Canadians rely on.

Today’s Halloween… but the real horror is Carney’s cuts to public services. After everything we’ve been through since COVID-19, our public services are stretched to the limit. Cutting support for families, veterans, and seniors now isn’t β€œfiscal responsibility” β€” it’s reckless.

On World Day for Decent Work, we reaffirm our demands to the Carney government – stop cuts to the services people rely on. This government has a duty to set the bar for decent work for all workers in Canada. That means fair wages, job security, and the right to free collective bargaining.
