Fun today teaching a workshop all about mysterious gouache! Everyone did an amazing job. Here's my demo.

Gratitude. For me it's the only way. I'm thankful for students, sunrises, my pets, warm fuzzy socks and pretty snowfalls. I'm thankful for the heroes that have stepped forward so courageously. And I'm proud to be Canadian. Here's a photo of one of my favourite spots in the whole world for peace.

It's so transparent. The discomfort on all of their faces as they tried not to squirm was palpable. Today I woke up in tears for the first time since he took office, but she made me feel so much better. She is courageous. I hope she remains safe.

Five-year-old Charlie is a natural. He felt out of sorts at first in our mixed media class until we talked about abstract art. With eyes as wide as saucers and a sharp intake of breath, he grabbed that Sharpie out of my hand, and said "I know what to do!" Atta boy. 💕
