So I gather. What I heard made it sound like something I should watch, but also included Peter Davison being somewhat different to how I'm used to seeing him.

Must proof read in future.
I've been meaning to watch that, because I keep hearing ofd things about it.

23.11.2025 14:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0On Doctor Who Day, letโs have your favourite Earth-2 Doctor.
Might be a bit predictable, this one, but he'd still be great.
So that was my DW weekend.
Next year I plan to start earlier on the weekend prior to DW day (which I guess will be a Monday) so I can include an actual 2nd Dr serial (Web of Fear, probably) and choose a good 7th Dr story instead of Battlefield.
Might do Father's Day and Vincent & the Doctor too.
Finally, I watched the scene where Jodie pops up and talks to Ncuti. It's beautiful, and when I first saw it I was overjoyed to see her, but it's also heartbreaking.
"I should say that to Yaz."
"You never do."
Just heartbreaking.
Ncuti was great, but damn his finales were awful. Shame.
I hate Jodie's regeneration. I hate many things about RTD2, but it started here. Having her costume dissolve feels like she's being erased. Having her degenerate into a past incarnation makes it even worse.
I hope in decades to come sanity is restored and DT only appears once in the lineup of Drs
And then on to Power of the Doctor. I wasn't sure about the way this kicks off when I first watched it, but once we get to Teagan and Ace and the situation with the Master it takes off.
I love Jodie as the Doctor, and I love Dhawan as the Master, and with everything else thrown in this is brilliant.
On top of that, we get Gomez as Missy versus the best Simm ever did as the Master, both of them up against Capaldi and this just can't be topped.
The scenes in the hospital with the proto-Cybermen are nightmare fuel. Everything about this is perfect, which is why I chose this, not Twice UAT
World Enough and Time is probably my favourite story on this list, weirdly enough. It is SO dark, so grim, and amazingly moving. The closing scenes with the revelation of what has happened to Bill are heart-wrenching.The set-up with the time dilation and how the story is woven around that is perfect.
23.11.2025 12:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's been a long time since I've watched Dalek, and I'd forgotten just how good Eccleston is as the Doctor. This is just about a perfect story.
Day of the Doctor is sublime. It's so well written, and watching the banter between the 3 Drs in this story is a joy. Smith in particular is amazing.
Battlefield was a poor choice.
Night of the Doctor is fantastic! Paul McGann deserves more time on screen as the 8th Doctor. I'm against actors having two bites of the cherry, so to speak, so I don't want him to become the 16th or whatever. But give us more 8 on screen, please.
The Two Drs is probably my favourite 6th Dr story, because Pat Troughton and Fraser Hines are so good in it, and Robert Holmes really knows how to write a great story. Love this one so much.
23.11.2025 12:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Started off the second day with The Five Doctors. I am still annoyed Tom didn't agree to join the rest in this, but despite that it's still a treat. It's not quite as funny as The 3 Doctors, but it makes up for that in variety. More companions, more Drs, more enemies. It's great.
23.11.2025 12:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I was crushed when Sarah left, and her departure scene is so well done. I'm not much of a fan of the rest of the episode, but that scene is lovely.
The same is true of the end of Logopolis. It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for. 4 is by far my fave Doctor, & I doubt that will change.
And it had to be Michael Wisher as Davros. He set the standard and I don't think anyone else comes close.
Terror of the Zygons ep 2 is my pic for best ep ever. The scenes in the Zygon ship are lit so well, there's the Sarah trance and Zygon Harry attack scenes, and very funny Brigadier scene.
The first episode seemed the only place to start.
While watching 3 Drs it dawned on me I needed a Delgado Master episode in there and chose his first. It's a great episode.
Davros had a huge impact on me as a child and in ep 5 of Genesis, he gets lots of great speeches. Seemed the right one.
My full watch list for this weekend ended up being:
Unearthly Child
The 3 Drs
Terror ot Autons ep1
Genesis ot Daleks ep5
Terror ot Zygons ep2
Sarah's goodbye scene
4's regeneration scene
The 5 Drs
The 2 Drs
Battlefield
Night ot Dr
Dalek
Day ot Dr
World Enough & Time
Power ot Dr
Ncuti & Jodie scene
Me standing behind Sylvester McCoy, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Paul McGann
Me standing beside Janet Fielding.
Here's the pics I got the day I met 5, 6, 7, 8 and Teagan.
#DoctorWho
Fifth Doctor I'm a scene from The Five Doctors saying After all, that's how it all started.
If there is any Doctor Who news today, I hope it will be scheduled for 5:15pm and then get delayed by news of the American president being assassinated - After all, it's how it all started.
#DoctorWho
And here we go...Power of the Doctor!
I love this one. Except for the song and dance number, I absolutely love this one.
The companion support group at the end was just a perfect farewell to the series, when they weren't sure it was going to continue, and this my 60th anniversary celebration ep.
Night and Day of the Doctor were both great, but the minute Missy steps out of the TARDIS and claims to be Doctor Who I'm enraptured.
"Well, I am that mysterious adventurer in all of time and space, known only as Doctor Who. And these are my disposables, Exposition and Comic Relief."
So I've included the very start, my favourite Master, Roger Delgado, my favourite Davros, Michael Wisher, my favourite companion's departure and favourite Dr's regeneration.
I've also covered every single tv Dr, although the 2nd is represented more than any of the others, but that's ok.
...with World Enough and Time,to include 12 and Missy, who is my 2nd fave incarnation of the Master. It's my favourite 12th Dr episode.
Depending on time might do Twice Upon a Time after that, but definitely doing Power of the Dr and the scene from Reality War with Jodie meeting Ncuti.
Long day!
After that I wanted to watch a 7th Dr story and chose Battlefield because the Brigadier is in it, but that was a mistake, I should have chosen either Remembrance of the Daleks or Survival.
Then Night of the Dr, followed by Dalek to include 9.
Now on Day of the Dr, and planning to follow that...
Then Terror of the Zygons ep 2 which I think is the single best episode ever. I next watched the farewell scene for Sarah Jane from Hand of Fear and ended the night with the regeneration scene from Logopolis.
This morning I started with the 5 Drs 40th anniversary version, then 2 Doctors.
Started last night by watching An Unearthly Child, the episode, then watched 3 Drs. While watching that I was thinking about what makes Pertwee's run so good so decided to watch Terror of the Autons episode 1 next. Then Genesis of the Daleks episode 5 for my fave Davros, he gets lots of speeches.
