Day 2 was a bit better. Maybe everyone in this bracket was just more chill.

We came in dead last but we did get awarded best sportsmanship which was nice.

I'm my experience they are heavily dependent on how leneant your group is with Short rests.

Went to my first 40k tournament, and I think it's not really my thing.

Yeah I've got a few seperate feeds for different subjects I'm just not sure how to judge if they're the best versions of those subjects.

For example There's dozens of ttrpg ones but some seem identical and most seem equally dead. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

I've been trying to make an effort to interact more on this site, but it feels weirdly barren. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places but ever psot is see is like 0 comments 2 likes at best. It's so odd.

I only self publish my work so I don't have a publisher's insight as such. I tend to ask the folks at @runicpressgames.com when I need help.

Well that's getting into more specific questions.

Are you working within an existing system? If yes, work with what's there. If no, still a good idea to see what other systems do layout and presentation wise. Clearly they work for a reason.

There is definitely something tactile about the action of rolling.

Hitting refreshes on a random number generator doesn't quite hit the same.

Is this a sell described phenomenon (like the publisher/creator saying it) or is it outsiders looking in and concluding it?

Bunkers and Badasses tonight was good fun.

Got to try out some rules I made for Poker and other games of chance (which are system agnostic).

Sometimes I feel like I need to go back to DnD in the same way a 1990s business man goes to the office.

So that's the key.

This class I made might be in the ballpark of what you're looking for.

You could easily flavour it as just being a dragon.
