I don't take pics of myself so they're few and far between!

They usually come up for a week, but because they're on holiday with nothing to do they've been picking her up and taking her out for trips which I don't have the time, energy or money to do!

She's been there quite often, just for some reason mum's taken the idea (& run like hell with it) that me having power of attorney means I have taken control of everything, not just being there to help - mum's not bothered with any of it for the last two years so I have been doing it all.

As I could quickly find 2014.

Ta, yeah mum's being a right shit at the moment, hopefully with the assessment today we'll get more information on what's going on in her head because it's all buggered up.
And if it does go as far as dementia I think I'll almost disassociate the physical form from the memories "it's not her" etc.

Plus she'd have to find somewhere to stay when they come up to visit if mum doesn't go home again (mum wants to try, but I don't think she's going to manage).

Contact has probably got a little less since dad expired, but I think she's thinking I'm a bit down on mum because of how mum's being with me, whereas the sun shines out her arse to mum. But she won't be in with a chance of finding her on the floor with her living in bromsgrove 2 1/2 hours away.

Sister keeps offering, but it's more a "we don't really want you to ask".
Plus I'm the only one with power of attorney for mum so I'm kind of stuck unless I resign it totally.

Nope, nothing remarkable. One hell of a coincidence and it did make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

Yep, found policy documents from the co-op insurance society; who after a bit of searching don't really exist - they're part of Royal London now, but there's been so much to sift through to find.

I was hoping for a calm end after the year it's been, but no it still has another kick to the nuts!

and we've found a little bit of paper with a reference number on, or a policy note that's 20+ years old. I don't think I've really had time to grieve dad yet and now mum's being pissy about stuff.

Did find in his garage a newspaper that was dated exactly 50 years before his death.

The shits still deep, mum's become an absolute pain in the arse for who knows what reason (possibly dementia, she's being further assessed tomorrow morning) and I've had a monumental task trying to work out their finances to claim on all the little policies my dad set up years ago

Back in my dad's garage sorting things and found a paper. From 1975.

We certainly tried to do him proud, it really was the last thing we could do, although he was unaware of it.

He wasn't able to look at it, so we've got it - there's a few flowers and greenery have pegged out but it's mostly hanging on, which considering it's over two weeks ago they're doing well.
The mug is still on his grave too.

coffin, and when we went out to drop him in the hole I chucked the teabags & most of the digestives in (my niece chucked the rest in), in the coffin he had a bar of his favourite chocolate, so we gave him his favourites on the way out. Got one of the coffin flower arrangements in our back garden.

I think so, we know where he is - conversation is shit if you go for a chat though, I guess 6ft of soil & stone will muffle it a bit.

I was sure with slade, but cliff popped in when I put hospital radio on for him (whilst he was out of it) and it came up during a visit.
So we had two seasons in one day, and one of the hymns was 'we plough the fields' so it all turned into a year-round job!

It was these things that stuck from years ago!
