Win your conference and don’t be a coward. Most of these D1 teams are not earning an at large bid and most of the D3 teams absolutely are. Drop a bad divisional game, add a banger of an inter divisional game. So that doesn’t even matter. Almost makes too much sense.

Top level D2/3 lacrosse teams should play D1 teams on real games and if you don’t believe this you probably wear a fascist red hat made in China.

I mean until that happens they should really do away with it for now. It’s a waste of time and money and slows the game down for no reason.

Oh yeah 2 Biberties in the top 4 is impressive and SLU in the top 20 as well. Another real solid conference from top to bottom.

It can all change pretty quickly and week to week, but 4 teams in the top 10 and 5 in the top 15 is incredible conference depth. Another year of a circular firing squad in the good ol’ NESCAC!

So… totally honest question here… how is it an advantage to have these 2 roles instead of 1 person doing both? Neither is a fulltime job, and coaches only coach 2-3 days a week. Why not just pay the HC more money? What does this really accomplish aside from pure “pro” optics?

A lot of that sounds like deception not velocity. Velocity helps but it’s the 3rd or 4th most important factor behind deception and accuracy for sure. 95mph into the goalies stick is still a save.

I agree deception isn’t caused by your pocket. Just saying velocity is overrated in 90% of good shot scenarios. And yeah sloppy high pockets are also gross.
