Co-signing all of this. "Narrative" RPGs often unwittingly limit their player base by designing almost exclusively toward the theater kids. As one of the theater kids, I applaud the effort... but I can't run those games with my table. My players DO NOT want to help build the game world on the fly.

Yes and also we all aren't outrage jukeboxes, you can't just press a button and have us be outraged on request. We're all allowed to focus on what we want and where we feel our voices will be effective right now, and trust that others will fight the other fights worth fighting. It's a group effort.
