mRNA vaccines are a game-changer. Faster to develop, generally safer, easy to modify, huge potential for wider applications (e.g. cancer). If the vaccine has been approved, it's already been thoroughly tested in randomised controlled trials. Nobody's trying to poison anyone with these vaccines.

An important read for everybody concerned about the rising number of attacks on medical staff and facilities worldwide.

Importantly, it not only analyses the current situation but specifies what must be done to rectify this situation.

I am proud to have contributed.

Governments โ€“ including our own โ€“ must do more to ensure medical neutrality is respected.

Amongst other recommendations, we are calling for the establishment of a UN Special Rapporteur on the Protection of Health in Armed Conflict.

Thank you to MSF, Uma Kumaran & Harpreet Kuppal for hosting today's parliamentary event on the escalating humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

Our medical ethics committee chair @drandrewgreen.bsky.social highlighted the appalling assaults on healthcare, which are illegal under international law.

Castles? Really?

Reminds me of the time as a teenager when I was stood on the amazing Uffington Castle, and was accosted by a party of breathless Americans and asked where the castle was.

They were not happy.
