Looking forward to delve deeper and get to the bottom of it, but not for the long wait...

adventure while also not really showing most characters growing or second guessing their choices in any way, just persevering because they have to move the story forward.
That said, I really like the characters and can even excuse the ocasional very out of place horny and low brow humour

I can't say that I've fully enjoyed the story so far. At times, rather than a human story of explorers overcoming a harsh rules-based enviroment in search of the next unknown, it feels more like shackles created to extract the most drama out of fucked up situations in a supernatural shounen

The world building is very imaginative and the blind exploration element reminds me a lot of Blame, having many interesting unraveling mysteries and a couple of big emotional moments

I've decided to read Made in Abyss after reading comments that got me curious and I can now say that I've made a mistake, because it looks like publication is in hiatus and far from over. My current thoughts:

The artstyle is unique and blends well cuteness, abyssal creature design and gore

the good news about our current international predicament is that, just like with the iraq war, if enough people online point out it's illegal they'll have to immediately cancel the war and withdraw all the troops
