Plant Dewi has received a £398,078 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund.
It will enable them to develop their Connecting Communities project for the next 3 years, including extra hours at groups in Cross Hands, Cwmgors, Ammanford & Carmarthen & new ones in Llandovery, Brynaman & Whitland.

MAECymru (Women and the Church) will hold its AGM on Tuesday 4th November at 7pm on Zoom.

Great joy was had on 13th July when Archdeacon Eileen licensed Dr Andy Starr as Worship Leader at St Anne’s Church (Aberystwyth LMA). We’re excited to see how God will use Andy in his new capacity.

“The Bishop of St Davids, Dorrien Davies, has appointed Revd Dr Jonathon Wright as Director of Ministry within the Diocese of St Davids alongside Revd. Dr. Rhiannon Johnson. Jonathon will continue to serve as Priest-in-Charge within the United Benefice and Local Ministry Area of Greater Dewisland.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our sisters and brothers of the Roman Catholic Church. The sudden death of Pope Francis has come as a shock to the whole world, however his dying at Easter is a blessed reminder of the Hope that the Risen Jesus brings to the whole world.

The Bishop and Revd Sophie Whitmarsh, Children Youth & Families Missioner, joined members of Mother's Union at St Non's retreat House on the edge of St Davids.  There was time for crafts and tea before a stroll in the spacious grounds. Bishop Dorrien presided at the pre-lunch Eucharist.

“The Bishop of St Davids, Dorrien Davies, has appointed Canon Marianne Osborne as Priest in Charge in Local Ministry Area of Bro Caerfyrddin. Canon Marianne will also continue as Chaplain to the UWTSD. The date for licensing is to be confirmed, but she will begin her new duties immediately.
