Got Ebola? No? Thank USAID! (Hey, preventing transmissible diseases from spreading and mutating abroad prevents drug resistant super bugs from spreading here! How bout that!)
Hey, so this is my sister. She has worked for USAID for almost 15 years, living in Senegal, Rwanda, and the Kyrgyz Republic. Her work has focused on improving nutrition and preventing the spread of diseases like TB and Ebola. PLEASE HELP www.usaidstopwork.com/individuals

02.07.2024 18:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's just hilariously disingenuous. Imagine looking at, say, ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY and concluding that the biggest threat to liberty isn't abuse of power, but powerful people refraining from sufficiently wielding their authority out of fear that they might one day be held accountable.

Students are doing a unit on the Roman invasion of Britain. I took a poll yesterday: if you were a Briton, would you have resisted Roman conquest or cooperated? The results are in:
17: accept
1: secret resistance
1: it depends
