Super psyched to have placed tenth in this year’s Writer’s Games, especially since none of my stories place in the top five or got any honorable mentions! Somehow I snuck in there anyway and I was shocked to see my name! 🎉

Stephen king books

Scored all of these Stephen King books at an estate sale this morning - have all of them in paperback already and Ive read all of them at least once… but at $1 each how could I resist? My sibling laughed as I gathered them up after a very brief deliberation, saying they knew I’d buy all of them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Today was a slog, but I pushed through to finish out #1000wordsofsummer with 1024 words today. During the last two weeks, I wrote 28,519 words on my WIP! Wow!!

Popped up in my FB memories today. 12 years later, still a 100% accurate depiction of their relationship. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ill post a link in the group but basically it’s a huge group of people who commit to writing 1000 words every day for 2 weeks starting today!

Day one of #1000wordsofsummer and ive logged 2386 words on my current WIP. Trying to keep up momentum to get this draft done! 🤞

In preparation for #1000wordsofsummer I wrote 2800 words today, bringing my current WIP (a character-driven sci-fi thriller) up to 24k. Hoping for a finished first draft by the end of June 🤞

I have an aerogarden so it is a hydroponic system which has timed lights and also lets me know when to add water and nutrients. I also have a basil plant on my kitchen windowsill which only get natural light but it’s not as healthy as these

Another short visit given who I’m up against first, but hey a new silver trophy? Ill take it!

Hydroponically grown plants

I was admiring my Thai basil this morning so I figured I’d post a picture. Two kinds of Thai basil and behind the basil, a Thai chili pepper in aerogarden hydroponic set ups. (In the pots are spider plants, which are the only houseplants I can keep alive consistently.)

Oh yeah i kinda got distracted and forgot to finish the collection but I’m looking on thrift books today 😆

I was obsessed with these as a kid! I bought a bunch of them as an adult and am only missing three now.

Yay! I think my time in the finals will be short, but I’m thrilled to make it this far!

4800 words later… definitely noveling. 😱 Goal is 10k by end of weekend.
