CORVID UPDATE:

The crows were, as always, very excited for their peanuts this morning! As was the horde of blue jays (which are corvids, too, and they have enchanting excited-to-eat songs)!

After everyone came by for their first peanuts, a Hello Crow hung around and said "H'llo! H'llo!"

Finished 'Death of the Author' by Nnedi Okorafor today! Loved the varied narrative structure (interviews, narrative, book-within-a-book), the posthumanist robots, and the struggling to thrive despite physical limitations and family-imposed guilt. This novel fiercely defies & challenges expectations.

The Spanish-language version of Ramiro's story has been published and printed 5 times, but this will be the first time it appears in English!

This is my first collaboration with Ramiro! I fell in love with this story when I read it in the anthology 'Latinoaméricæditada: No disponible en su región' (pub. Triada Ediciones)

It took 6 submissions over ~5 months to find a home for this translation, earning 2 personal rejections along the way.

The contract is signed for #4 of my 4 recent translation sales!!!

Spent some time today rearranging my bookshelves while listening to music. Extremely soothing hobby, 10/10 recommend.

Sir Terry Pratchett is best understood as one of the most interesting, deeply ethical practical (I would say Pragmatist but I cede to actual experts) philosophers of the late 20th Century who just happened to work in deconstructed fantasy literature as his medium.
