You show the thing, you talk about the thing. I don't feel the need to pull up a new tabs every minute to look up what you're talking about. I imagine that that's really useful for neophytes to the subject matter, since you give the viewer everything they need to at least respect your opinions.

The little animation snippets in your videos, the specific things that you cover, and the way you talk about what's on-screen without all the theoretical, abstract bullshit that makes a lot of game design media such a fuckin slog.

Your narration style also keeps me engaged in a way that most others' don't. You are among a very short list of my favorite "foreground creators"; I WATCH your videos/streams, they snag my attention, and I find it VERY hard to keep you in the background as a result.

Also like...I tossed you a fiver on YouTube a while back to thank you for putting a bit of wind in my sails regarding that project. I've made some INSANE progress on it since then, and it was your videos that started that ball rolling.

You have a deep understanding of what you find fun and engaging in video games. The way you talk about things from the perspective of the player--as opposed to the designer, like so many other people I've watched--has deeply informed my process while making my own game.
