bigger reasons have to do with opsec stuff, basically government communications channels should not rely on profit-driven, unaccountable businesses like Twitter. But I do fell government being intertwined with private social media space inevitably leads to crap like this.

imo government officials should not be allowed to use privately-owned communications platforms in the course of doing their jobs. for many reasons, but this right here is a big one.
