It’s been like this all 44 years of my life. It isn’t new. Trump just gave these people permission to say it out loud and to be proud of it.

They like conspiracies and in general hate women. They are upset when rape touches their family personally but that’s it. They’ll pretend to be outraged about rape or sexual assault if the perpetrators are brown but the assault is just a reason for them to openly hate.

I’ve made this same argument to my Christian maga family members and they still call it a democrat hoax. So stupid and so frustrating.

MAGA hates women even though they won’t ever say it. Evangelicals in particular believe women are the cause of their sins and are here to be used by men. They will use violence against women as an excuse to attack those they deem less desirable (brown people) but it’s just an excuse.
