The very existence of this show. The performance itself, even if it wasn’t deeply steeped in the history of PR and many Latinos is a protest in and of itself. THAT is the provocation. Not whether someone showed a tit or said a bad word. Anyone who’s read a history book can understand that.

I think the distinction is that artists like Bad Bunny and frankly the vast majority of immigrants who come to the U.S. to build a life and contribute are constantly forced to prove that they are not at war with America, while they themselves embody the very things the wide swath purports to be.

Guy on my flight a couple rows up from me has watched a confounding array of movies: Cool Runnings, Aladdin, Argo, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Fascinating stuff.

I wish I was only coming from place of Resentful Saint Paul Guy, but people on the ground throughout the state of Minnesota need reliable and accurate information to make life-or-death decisions right now. Creating the impression that only *one* city is under siege is actively dangerous.
