This 15th-century Ghent fragment of Jacob van Maerlant’s Martijn Trilogy (KANTL. HS. 6) looks a bit weird - it is an exceptional example of writing out of text order on uncut sheets. But when you reconstruct it as a single-quire booklet, it all makes sense! www.instagram.com/reel/DRpYdoA...

Wish I could attend in person! If you're going to be at #CHR2025 this December, you should go to Session 2A on Wednesday to hear @sofiemoors.bsky.social discuss how we applied Bayesian phylogenetics to a medieval Dutch text!

I won't get to attend the conference in Luxembourg in person this December, but I hope that the paper is received well and generates further interest and discussion of how Bayesian phylogenetics can be fruitfully applied to textual traditions!
