The MORPHSS project is conducting a really interesting experiment in article peer-review process, getting reviewers to meet after their final individual report writing to produce a synthetic agreed final version. Will it work? I don't know. Is it interesting: definitely.
28.07.2025 08:08 โ ๐ 37 ๐ 10 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 3We use the same approach to grade Master's theses in Groningen. Most of the times the two independent grades are within 1 point difference, so a discussion is not required. In other cases, the discussion helps and we rarely need to involve a third reviewer.

They are often far worse at getting AI to do stuff than those with a liberal arts or social science bent. LLMs are built from the vast corpus human expression, and knowing the history & obscure corners of human works lets you do far more with AI & get its limits.
Good morning! I'm in Uganda to visit family and friends.
But depending on your perspective, don't worry or I'm sorry: I'll be back by the end of the month.
See you soon, NYC.

My temptation is to think that, actually, LLMs are another form of dissemination that could be open and beneficial... IF they can fix the hallucinations. Also, if this is how people are to be getting their information, I want the systems to work well for the educational benefit of humankind.
