Spectacular lion table found in the Cannery Row Antique Mall yesterday. Let me be clear I don’t need to own this, but I definitely love it more than is healthy.

The small 70’s colored rug is done. I’ve just tossed it in the wash before steaming it flat. There’s still enough yarn left to do another one I think.

Ha! It is truly awful stuff, but I do love a challenge and I just can’t leave fiber unused. The pattern is from MagicCarpetStudio on Ravelry.

I was gifted this “yarn”, whose texture makes me think that it’s vintage carpet fiber or something equally scratchy and 70’s colored, so it is in thr process of becoming a round rug. I should be at this one for a while.

Finished crocheting the doily I was working on. This one really needed to be pressed to lie flat. It was really wavy on the outer rounds.

I haven’t tatted in a while, but my daughter picked up a couple “new” vintage crochet and tatting booklets at the Cannery Row antique mall last time they went and this is the first crochet pattern I’ve worked up from them.

Exactly. Also do they expect me to redo the video at this point. It’s just a silly thing to comment.

Every few years someone comments on my tatting tutorial YouTube video from like 2011 to correct my pronunciation of ‘picot’. Yes, Jennifer, I am fucking aware of the mistake I made over a decade ago & a brief perusal of the comments section would have saved you the effort of commenting about it. Ugh

Look, I know it the wide scheme of horrible things happening, this is a rather minor event, but it is crushing to me that this tasteless man is in charge of any arts program. Just ugh!

Well, this has been a disappointing news morning. I mean, I wish I could muster some extreme shock, but nah, it's just another talented human being one person publicly and another when they thought they could get away with it because they found people who might be broken enough to let them.

Really fun premise and character designs with some great dialogue.

Learning bobbin lace made me seriously appreciate the relative simplicity of creating tatted lace. The pins, bobbins, pillows, pattern sheets, so much stuff to keep straight.

Acquired a black light so I could properly see this amazing tiny uranium glass spider I was gifted yesterday.

I just finished reading this one. It's really good and now I'm both intrigued and kind of terrified of apples.

I was also sold in the second issue, the line about not worrying with things you cannot control hit so well with the sheer insanity of events.

This optimism I’m feeling for the Superman movie is quite pleasant given that I wrote off the DC movies so very long ago.
