Legacy of Ash
'A hugely entertaining debut' John Gwynne
'Epic fantasy as it should be; big, bold and very addictive' Starburst
'A brilliantly realised setting . . . ...
If you want to scratch that epic fantasy itch, I'm going to recommend two very different but equally outstanding complete series by agency clients. First, the Legacy trilogy by @thetowerofstars.bsky.social , opening with LEGACY OF ASH:

Not taking part in any panels at World Fantasy Convention, happily, but I'll be there! Meetings with authors and publishers, attending book launches, etc! And doubtless running into old chums. The Metropole knows us well, having been the venue for SF and Fantasy conventions since 1979...

BBC Four - Arena, The Orson Welles Story, Episode 1
First of a two-part film profile of Orson Welles, which goes as far as Touch of Evil.
At 10pm tonight on BBC4...probably the best long interview (almost three hours, in two parts) about cinema, and other matters, I've ever seen, from 1982. The inimitable Orson Welles. I remember watching and loving this when it was first shown in the Arena arts strand.

A general thought for new novelists: it's always worth checking an individual agent's submission guidelines on their website before submitting.

Hall of Bones by Tim Hardie

βTo top it all off, RJ Bayley narrates the audiobook. I donβt really know what else to say there. Itβs perfect. Bayley is just one of the best narrators. Thatβs all there is to it.β - Hall of Bones
βin audio form each story is only around 15 minutes, and in that short time, Hardie crafts tales of a fascinating world populated by in depth, well-rounded characters. It just draws you in and spits you back out wanting more.β - A Roll of the Dice
