Rare chance to wander at leisure around Reigate High Street this morning. Struck by the mix of welcomes in the shops from a warm hello to being completely ignored. Definitely felt more at ease (and ready to buy) where I was acknowledged with a friendly smile.

Sounds like a valuable public service! That junction is far from ideal for pedestrians trying to cross. Needs dealing with really.
