underlying API changes would need client changes regardless (and would be a pretty terrible API not versioned!) And sure volunteer infra can have issues (if server is open thats less of an issue) I just am not seeing the "juce is worth the squeeze" here... but

What does fujinet do that it needs to talk to modern API's? A proxy seems like a straight forward solution vs coding something for every platform, especially ones that have a tcp/ip stack already.

If you're building vintage apps why use ssl/tls json/xml at all? Seems like a more straigth forward approch to use what you have on the platform (sockets and a simple fixed/tab format)

Another day, another @home-assistant.io issue. Click update to to 2025.07.4 - breaks running system. Reboot comes back. Click update again seems to update but still on .3. Click update again it does nothing.

What kind of features would we add to BlueSCSI? We are a layer 2 device, the host does the layer 3 tcp/ip stuff, so apps could just be written in MacOS to play/submit scores.

We(BlueSCSI) will be at VCFMW too! - I'll be sure to stop by. I'm not expert on the mac toolbox but it starts to make sense the more you look at it, from the perspective of a 80's developer :D This is a neat dive into history - I know nothing OPL3 as I was a Mac kid and sound just worked.

This one cuts your screen size down by a square pixel every time you restart. A very clever extension that could take a while to become apparant.

It for sure is the best. But: It breaks all the time. Extremely difficult to setup. Sometimes just doesnโ€™t work. So ya if it pulls the wrong arch of a container Iโ€™ll complain.

Being the best and having all these issues really reflects the state of home automation in 2025.

After being extremely cryptic about the new hardware project I'm working on in my last "photo of my monitor" post, here's a hopefully less cryptic one. Now that more things are working, here's a clue that is hopefully a little more obvious about what it is:
