The challenge of figuring out what might convey the right mental imge to someone who may not have seen either the things you describe

One of the more annoying lessons in art is that trying to make an ACCURATE piece can often get in the way of making an INTERESTING piece and that's a rake that I keep stepping on again and again 😠

Oh, this reminds me - the one I has gone on strong for years on my bag, with people constantly in awe at the nub and constantly wondering how it didn't come off

As has been a running tradition, my holiday project has been making a custom gingerbread cutter design and then a whole armada of gingerbreads.

This year's theme was cat 🐱

(for what it's worth, the answer is yes. I occasionally worry that just because I prattle on about big women that can break me in half people think that that's the only body type that I find appealing which is 100% not the case)

What really got me out of the habit of that was realising that balking at their compliments is synonymous with shitting on their taste.

And we wouldn't wanna criticise them for liking a thing, even if the thing is our art we feel awful about, now would we?
