-how could he even imagine being able to hold himself back
-but Phoenix isn't interested in fighting, he's playing civilian, he's a doctor. Phoenix's civi reputation is air tight and he's not afraid of Griffin
-Why would he be? Griffs a washed up merc and they're on a civi ship, he can't hurt him

-a few years later and he's got a clean slate, a job, and stability
-he can hide the gnawing sadism in his gut
-no more killing, he's a guard dog now
-he just drifts through his days
-and then there's Phoenix there in front of him, Phoenix who replaced him, who wasn't trapped by some deal

-Rachette on the other hand has a broken submitting dog under her boot
-She's going to fix him up and put him at her Captain's side
-She has a new hound to train
-he knows he can't fight her, he won't fight her and doesn't
-lets himself be cuffed and hauled away through the doors of the rehab center

-he's not getting important missions anymore he's getting suicide missions
-Boss doesn't seem to care where he is half the time either
-So when he gets caught by Rachette
-He gives up thinking it'll be a quick execution
-Not so lucky, Boss might not have remember his use as an asset letting him slip

-besides being beaten and abused and locked up until he agrees to whatevers being ordered
-So he has fun with it
-But he's not as good as he once was
-lack of care and substance abuse have taken their toll
-he realizes he's being replaced by someone younger and better
-he wants to kill him so bad

-he can't leave or his bitch ass is going to jail
-there's something he likes about being feared
-control, power, being able to press that down on other people
-He's already fucked so he's not worried about killing or hurting people
-It's even kind of fun to hunt them
-it's all he's good for

-until he finally breaks under the pressure of work abuse and social rejection
-starts with the heavy drugs and drinking to get through being his boss's favourite play thing
-until he starts to get boring and Griff isn't a fun toy anymore
-he's a violent animal, an attack dog

Actually, yall would probably like Griffin in general
-tricked into signing his life away for a job
-not able to leave the job bcs of the crimes
-slowly becoming more feared and ostracized as his body count goes up, despite being quite even tempered
-having the fear start to eat away at him
