Reading between the lines, he’s on the opposite side of the three waters vote from the person experiencing targeted harassment.
So this almost reaches tacit approval territory 🥴

Mayor Weston Kirton said one of his hoardings had been pushed over or blown down, but he had not personally faced harassment. No-one condoned harassment, he said, but "it comes with the territory" "This campaign is no different than the past where some candidates are more sensitive than others. My experience of the reception from the public so far has been great and positive."

What a hugely disappointing response from the Mayor. He labels candidates as sensitive and saying abuse comes with the territory. This attitude is why things won’t change. Poor leadership.

I really need all of us to abandon any impostor syndrome. It’s time.
