Guiding Light Fest writing tip: --- common suffixes and correct usage part 2 ie - diminutive suffix attached to the end of a person's name as a sign of closeness and affection - only done to names ending in consonants; there's no vowel-ending equivalent - used when talking ABOUT the person - do not repeat/double the last consonant when adding -ie - hyungie is, unfortunately, an incorrect term Correct: "Namjoonie is here, we can begin!" Seokjin announces. Correct: "Seokjinie-hyung will be late," Yoongi tells them. Correct: "Jeonggukie, Jiminie, and Hoseokie are already in the venue," the eldest informs Namjoon. Correct: "Jiminie-hyung is the best!" Jeongguk says to the crowd, a proud smile on his face. Incorrect: "Namjoonie, talk to me," Hoseok tells Namjoon, reaching for him. Seokjin announces, looking at Namjoon. Correct: "Come on, let's eat, Yoongi-yah!" Yijeong says. Correct: "Jimin-ah, you did well today," Hoseok cheers him. Incorrect: "Jeongguk-ah is on his way here," Jimin tells Taehyung. Incorrect: "I saw Namjoon-ah-hyung at the studio last night," Jeongguk tells Hoseok. i have a spreadsheet with all the fanfics I've read and different metrics for it what kind of info would you analyse? I'm running out of ideas
