We train machine learning models on millions of proteins. But when it comes to making predictions, do we need them to understand all proteins at once? Often, we need an accurate model for the specific protein we are studying or designing. We address this with ProteinTTT arxiv.org/abs/2411.02109 1/🧡

Google AI aims to make best-in-class scientific software even better An artificial-intelligence-guided software-evolution system tweaks tools to boost performance.

Google has unveiled an AI workflow that evolves scientific software using a large language model to "mutate" code. In several domains, the resulting programs outperformed state-of-the-art tools, reducing development time from months to days.

A Web Component for Conditionally Displaying Fields :: Aaron Gustafson Building on my recent work in the form utility space, I’ve created a new web component that allows you to conditionally display form fields based on the values of other fields: form-show-if.

Sometimes you only want a field to show when certain other fields have a (particular) value. The `form-show-if` web component enables that.

More and more, I'm seeing AI-generated (or "enhanced") headshots everywhere from LinkedIn to dating sites. To me, at least, that is an immediate no. Relationships, be they employment or personal, are built on trust. An AI-genereated (or even "enhanced") photo is a lie, plain and simple.
