I guess that people are a little burnt out, there were a lot of bad adaptations in the past of several IPs and now they suspect the worst of everything. Of course, this hurts everything, and I see a lot of comments where it is evident that they haven't even watched the film- just repeating a mantra.

I loved it so much as well, I am also planning to watch it again soon! Glad to see that others also appreciate the movie!

Thus, the movie is 9/10 for me, because while the scenes, the music, the plot and the characters are perfect, the animation at some points has some issues. However, it can be easily overlooked, because the overall feeling and delivery is awesome! Plus the lore remains unbroken and respected. Cheers!

The plot gives extra depth to and conveys the tragedy of Helm Hammerhand and his sons very well. With Héra being an unnamed daughter who is mostly unknown, the writers got the necessary freedom to extend the original story in a way that does not put a stain on it - a respectful addition.
