Went to my local library this morning to do a bit of research for my current book project and my goodness such a life-affirming space! There was an adult being taught to read on the next table, children enjoying story time, countless people taking out books. So grateful for our libraries ❤️

Damn proud of Minnesota.

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

In the face of hatred, Dr. King inspired us to build a society filled with hope, kindness, and love for our neighbor.

Together, we must continue to work to enact his vision of equal opportunity for all.

MLK Jr. said America suffers not just from "the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people."

Remember this.

There is no place for violence in our democracy — against anyone.
