Some games may struggle with this depending on the type of game, things dependent on blind plays have much more risk of losing the merit of playing if seeing someone else play it.

For devs its a little more complex. I imagine it's not really beneficial for the major forces, but for smaller titles it can regularly be a boon.

It's not unheard of for someone to watch a game be played and be completely bored out of their mind but could also be deeply enthralled by playing that same game. Knowing those experiences are different and understanding yourself enable better decisions regarding engagement [3/?]
