So, I know I'm not on here much, life just keeps throwing up surprises (not the good kind). Dad is back in the hospital, for the 4th time this year. He fell Sunday evening and has been in the hospital since Monday. He's heading to a place for rehab/pt t try and improve strength and balance...

I'm from a town close to Punxsy, but have friends from there. I've been to Groundhogs day a few times in my life lol

I hope the storms pass soon so the pup can start to relax again... It's all just been so fucked and I'm drained...trying to fight off the damn anxiety attacks is exhausting...did manage to keep them mostly at bay today, but there was a few hours earlier in the day where it was just fucking rough...

So, we're expected to follow the law and Constitution, but our own government can ignore all of it? Hmmm, if they don't have to follow the rules, I don't feel obligated to follow them either...just saying.

If this regime is going to put all the responsibility for disaster relief, Medicaid funding, food safety standards, and even infant health screenings, and so much more, solely on the states, then what is the point of having a Federal government?

Oh, if you want to pay for it yourself you can get it...but people keep insisting there is all this free help from the govt or other agencies...they don't know that it's limited, years long wait lists, obstacle after obstacle (which, many don't have the ability/energy to navigate)..*sigh*

This is a big part of why I haven't been active on here. I've had to really cut back on how much news I expose myself to, which of course, makes it difficult to be informed or to run my FB page...but I clearly need some sort of break. I need to find time to escape it all for a day or two...

Since my COVID infection, I've been having some very severe anxiety attacks. Hell, I'm not even certain I had a rebound infection last week, but perhaps just an almost 12-hour anxiety attack that left me drained for a few days after the fact... There is a reason I tried to avoid infection... *sigh*

I have a novel idea that no dem has had, ever, apparently...hit him on every fucking illegal thing he's doing. You don't have to pick one...you can hit him with a fucking list... Dems are fucking useless because they don't want to upset their donors.

The people who say this can't possibly have ever tried to get the help. I'm disabled, dad is disabled, I've been trying to get help for months now...Dad is in the hospital, again, (3rd time this year)...And the fact that I have to be the one to navigate it all on my own...holy hell...

The next time someone tells me "oh, but there's so much help for people if they need it"...I'm going to throat punch them. Sure, help exists, often with limited funding, years long wait lists, and down an obstacle course of phone calls and webforms that all lead backwards or into dead ends. FUCK!
