Yesterday I got to hang out all day with some of the most inspiring people working in education.

Senior leaders from across the east of England, all committed to eradicating educational disadvantage.

@leadeast100.bsky.social is a massive privilege to facilitate.

Day 2 of East100 @leadeast100.bsky.social London School Visits took us to Reach Academy Feltham & Reach Academy Hanworth Park. We saw what it can look like if we make the decision to ensure the change we know is needed, takes place - in the community, for the community and alongside the community

Spent the best two days with an inspirational group of courageous leaders, all striving for excellence in our profession and closing the disadvantage gap in the region. Cannot wait for this journey, I feel so privileged to be part of this movement

Being part of @leadeast100.bsky.social has been one of the best things I’ve done with my career and it’s not even halfway through yet.

Happy to talk to anyone thinking of applying but be warned, I am very biased about how good this programme is.

Great day at @thereachfoundation.bsky.social today in Feltham with @leadeast100.bsky.social. I’ve wanted to visit for so long so today was a bit of wish fulfilment.

Really, it’s doing what all schools should be empowered to do - looking after the children in their community with warmth & rigour.

What better way to live and breathe the sense of community built at Reach Schools, then sitting down for a Family Meal with staff, community leaders and other 100 cohorts! Memories made, even if the quality of photos doesn't quite do it justice! Day 2 @leadeast100.bsky.social

It was a huge pleasure this evening to hear from Cat Jones on her doctoral research on parental engagement.

Some brilliant discussion with @leadeast100.bsky.social leaders on how they can bolster working with parents in the schools they lead.

A tricky area, but huge potential for kids outcomes.

Last week was one of my favourite weeks I’ve had in teaching. Learning from incredible school leaders and visiting some of the best schools in the country was so inspiring. I’ve loved discussing the visit with our amazing @leadeast100.bsky.social and the very brilliant @jonhutchinson.bsky.social

I’m in London with 80 aspiring headteachers from around the country.

We’ll be visiting schools around the capital to see some amazing practice and hear from some brilliant leaders.

Every here is a member of an x100 programme.

But what’s does that mean?

Yesterday, primary colleagues from @leadeast100.bsky.social @leadsw100.bsky.social and @leadwest100.bsky.social visited One Degree Academy and Charles Dickens Primary School.

They got to see some sensational teaching and culture, and really dig into how it was achieved with the headteachers.

Incredible visit to One Degree Academy in Enfield today with @leadeast100.bsky.social.

One thing I really took away was the way they develop and train their TAs and how much value they add to the school.

Really enjoyed our day at The Totteridge Academy today as part of the @leadeast100.bsky.social programme. We spoke to some great leaders and very proud students.

What a great day at Totteridge Academy, Barnet as part of Day 1 of @leadeast100.bsky.social Staff welcomed us with open arms and were incredibly generous with their time, reflections and expertise. Thought provoking stuff!
