Moh chair sharon presents to the team on global threats
Friday was our strategic away day. We are grateful to have a compassionate, talented and committed board and crew steering the charity through and making sure everything is a resourced as possible, so that the museum can be a safe harbour for the community.
Museum of Homelessness is in good hands.

Real Londoners love a mash-up celebration. @adamrhemmings.bsky.social led an excellent #Wassail in orchard of @ourmoh.bsky.social to a large group (behind camera) which coincided with celebrating #BurnsNight yesterday. An enlightening talk before hand too

Join us for our sober wassail today!
Bless our fruit trees and set excellent vibes for 2026!
We start with a talk on the history of wassailing by Adam Hemmings and then the wassail itself.
If time allows, depending on how rambunctious the wassail is, we will have a pruning workshop too

What is needed to fix homelessness in 2026?
Efforts to tackle homelessness in 2026 will see the Vagrancy Act finally scrapped. But politicians must make it more than a symbolic gesture.
🗞 "We need a stepchange in how we deal with homelessness."
Our codirector Jess Turtle wrote the New Years opinion piece for The Big Issue saying what is needed from politicians in 2026:

The trolley with fairy lights
2 people in an empty covent garden
Lots of people were sleeping out on the streets during that winter and it was a very cold one.
What a strange and difficult Christmas that was for so many people.
What are your memories of that winter?

3 people and a trolley outside at Martin in the Fields
2 people in an empty Leicester square
On this day 5 years ago MoH crew were out on the deserted streets of the West End in the winter lockdown, checking in with people and organizing supplies.
It was eerie with all the decorations left up even though the shops and businesses were shut.
