This digitally painted piece honors the survivor spirit of the coyote by tracing its lineage from the first cells of life to the animal trotting our landscapes today. Below the horizon, carefully chosen ancestors mark pivotal moments in adaptation, each contributing to the form and survivor we see today. Above the horizon, Coyote stands alert at the center, framed by both Denver’s skyline and a mountain backdrop, symbols of their ability to thrive in cities as well as wilderness. Embedded in the ground are the skulls and bones of carnivores whose lineages ended long ago, emphasizing Coyote’s persistence in contrast.

I think media made it weirdly taboo, or a sign of personal failure. Someone can be disinterested in you romantically and sexually, and not provide a good or logical reason. And it just means they weren't available, and you should move on to find someone, who is.

If someone wants to be friends, they find you emotionally and intellectually compatible. This is great. And saves you embarrassment and time seeking romantic and sexual response from someone who doesn't reciprocate it. Why is it treated as a failure.

So many guys would rather pine after a woman, rather than ask them out, fearing the Friend Zone. Friendships are extremely close, emotionally intimate, long-term relationships. Why a deciding factor in you pursuing a relationship hinges on your access to her private parts.

Just a reminder that class-based inequality didn't exist at all for hundreds of thousands of years after the earliest H. sapiens fossils first appear. There is nothing "natural" about hoarding wealth. Rather, sharing & exchange to create bonds of solidarity are more the norm.

Something that's always helped me parse this is that improving the lives of the people is the #2 priority for a lot of socialists.

Replacing the system with socialism in the #1 priority, and they viscerally resist anything that makes that harder.

If it does #2, but not #1, they don't want it.
